About Me: Nikos Kosmopoulos

For my first piece on the Gamer Logic website, I wanted to do a quick intro about my adventures into the world of video games.

My first vivid memory of any sort of video game was the NES when I was about 4 years old. My mom bought it and would play with me. She would keep me up late into the night playing Super Mario Bros. and when I would be beating her, she would reset the game and make us start all over again.  She claims that she beat the game first but there is no recorded evidence to suggest this. Love you mom.

In McHenry, IL where I grew up, there was a place called “Alltendo Game Rentals” that was hugely influential early on. I lived about 5 houses down so I was a constant visitor. I rented so many games from that place that the people there knew me by name and would let me take 2 games and only pay for one.

After the NES, I graduated to the Super Nintendo. I have to say that I think the SNES is my favorite gaming console of all time.  I have spent the most time on this console then any other except for the Xbox One.  Some of my favorite games from the SNES include Star Fox, F-Zero, Super Tennis, MLBPA Baseball, NBA Jam, NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, Madden 98, NHL94/95, Super Mario World, Contra 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, Super Metroid, and obviously the G.O.A.T Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Over the years I’ve owned many different consoles. They include the NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Game Gear, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.  When I am gaming today, I’m either on the Xbox One or Playstation 4.  I am currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn, Assassins Creed: Origins, PubG, and Madden 18.

I am happy to be apart of the Gamer Logic team , and can’t wait to continue to contribute content and work with these amazing individuals.
