Halo: Contact Harvest Review

Halo: Contact Harvest is Joseph Staten’s first major novel after writing the storylines for Halo 1, 2, 3 and I have to say for his first feature novel he has completely knocked it out of the park. Should that be a surprise to anyone seeing as the story was made from the person who put together the whole concept of the story in the first place? It shouldn’t, but sometimes when you take yourself into another element of story design, (In this case writing a novel.) it doesn’t always come across as strong as your other projects. This is not the case with Halo: Contact Harvest, it contains a solid story that reveals much of the history of the Halo mythos before the games and contains a detailed amount of action as well.

If you’ve never picked up a Halo book, this is your perfect choice to try one; this will cover almost every question you ever had about why things are they way they are by the beginning of Halo 1…well almost.

I’d give Halo Contact Harvest a high rating of 5 out of 5. It’s a solid book that delivers on the caliber of the previous books, if not more.
